You guys really need to stop calling yourself African American. We are black American NOT African. not only are you calling yourself an African your saying you are not American. Smokey Robinson is right about that. Another thing your giving Africa respect and credit they don't deserve. Africa have not done a thing for you, in fact if you went to Africa they would straight tell you you're not African. And they do not except blacks from other countries. And why give Africa your accomplishments Africa is the one who sold their own people as slaves. When blacks from other countries come here calling us African American they are just out right violating our citizenship which is all they want to do. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his life so you could be call a black American and be respected in this country. Not just king but all of our black American ancestors show them respect! I am an original black panther from the black panther movement back in the 70's and I am so sick and tired to see black Americans knowing so little are caring so little about our country and our culture. Black Americans we are also half American Indian, my grandmother was full-blooded Apache. The American Indians did our people wrong just like the white man did until the Buffalo soldiers had enough. STOP! calling yourself African American and be proud to call yourself black American our people's blood paid for your freedom that's why you're doing what you like doing right now Africa did not pay that way for you.

I hate Facebook, but I. was addicted. What made me turn was the fact that most of my "friends" were strangers and it only gave my relatives a peek into a small percentage of my life. It caused jealousy from them and these are people I didn't care too much about. I hated reading the comments on posts and getting into senseless arguments. People are mean behind the screen. Also, I couldn't control the content in my feed. I was getting all of this ghetto/hip hop mess that I couldn't stop from showing up. If you just pause to read the one headline 50 more sponsored posts would appear. Lastly, I can see the posts that my "friends" would respond to which lets me know that your responses to posts isn't contained there to just the posts' audience. I hate Facebook. Never again.

When I was on Facebook I wanted to buy more clothes,so I can post nice photos, go out more so I can look like I also "have a life", felt crappy about being single, my body, my job... Off Facebook for a few weeks now, those feelings have disappeared, I buy what I want, go out when I want, and have a new found appreciation for my life my job and the people in my life 😍

I recall when the service workers struck at Intel. I watched them picket from the office windows. After that, the workers started to be treated equally, having access to the lunchrooms and treated as regular employees. I speak Spanish, so made friends with many of them. It much better now, and I didn't realize how badly they were treated as contractors and second class citizens before.

You can tell the oldest is so disconnected. I’ve had experience with children who have absent parents because my foster sister’s mother was never a good mom (she was alcoholic). She recently passed away and the second oldest child didn’t show any emotion about it because she’s so numb. It’s really sad to see honestly.
